Todd Glaser is a San Diego-born photographer, surfer, and waterman. A Surfer Magazine staff photographer for more than a decade, Glaser has had more than a dozen covers during his tenure at the magazine. Equally at home shooting on land and in the water, his work has also appeared in The New York Times, Outside, Rolling Stone, Men’s Health, and GQ. A 300-page photo essay documenting eight of the world’s best surfers as they travel the world in pairs, “Proximity” provides an unusually intimate window into the creative tension and mutual regard each surfer shares with the other.Glaser’s work is included in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, in Washington DC.
