That old saw about every day being Earth Day remains no less true today. Heidi Zumbrun was fortunate enough to have been invited by the National Resources Defense Council to photograph gray whales and their calves at Laguna San Ignacio in Baja, California at the end of February. Here Heidi documents an outrageous example of flagrant interspecies social contacting. But then again these were simpler times. Thank you to photo director Kristen Walsh and all the wonderful folks at the NRDC for the remarkable work they do every day. Please see link in bio to learn more about the NRDC and how you can support their efforts.
